First Night® Martinez Volunteer

Be A First Night® Volunteer - We Need You!
All volunteers must attend a short workshop for up-to-date event and job assignment information. Dates will be announced early December Work a 2-3 Hour Shift And Receive a FREE admission button. We encourage you to sign up your entire family or group of friends. Some of the volunteer opportunities we have available are:

Area Managers
Oversee the workings of entertainment sites. Be familiar with your area and be able to answer questions and know the footprint of the event.

Site Supervisors
Rub elbows with performers and their fans while you oversee the performance venue and any needs of the performers.

Information Booth
Sell First Night buttons and merchandise. Give Information. Direct people to the proper locations such as First aid, Lost & Found and Special Needs.

Floaters/Runners

Production Daylight Crew
Get into the nitty gritty of First Night Martinez. Areas and Site Managers need assistance during the day to set things up. Most of this work is physical (climbing ladders, carrying sound equipment...). Only the physically fit will enjoy this job. Most of the work will occur from 9am-3pm.

Production Moonlight Crew
Get into the nitty gritty of First Night Martinez. Areas and Site Managers need assistance after the event to tear things down. Most of this work is physical (climbing ladders, carrying sound equipment...). Only the physically fit will enjoy this job. Most of the work will occur from 10pm-2am with a break for the ceremony at midnight. Ideal for night-owls

Office Assistant
Server as a receptionist assisting the staff. Answer phones, give information to the public, do some typing and assist with mailings. This is a year-around job and we would like a 3-4 hour per week commitment.

Button Sellers
Be part of the bottom-line operation. Sell buttons, make change and keep track of cash. Distribute buttons to sales sites.

Parking Attendants
Help attendees park. Mange parking availability and communicate with First Night Central as needed.
